Long ago the great Kar, or werewolves, were the leaders of humans and wolves. They guided the two nations while the world was still young and green and covered in the ice of the iceages. Magick ruled for all of history until lost by the foolishness of men and now technology has spread it’s cities across the known world. Young Mark Tanner is the last Kar of a generation to be born. He is a strong young man though only fourteen. With the help of his mother and aunt he has grown to be a fine young man, and despite a horrible mistake, found himself the father of a child. He has raised the child with the help of his human girl friend, Rachael. Mark has quickly been shown something in his child. The child is special, all young puppy and not a shape changer. He is meant to protect her. She has a different task. She is to guide the world as the technology of man crumbles around him. The young puppy must grow into a strong young wolf. It is his task to protect her. He will do it out of love. Now he is learning that evil is aware of his daughter and seeks to destroy her. Mark cannot allow this.
